The Southeastern Pennsylvania Symphony Orchestra launches its 55th Season in the easily accessible venue in the heart of Lansdale.  As one of the professional orchestras in the region, the Southeastern Pennsylvania Symphony Orchestra presents a Masterworks Concert Series on Saturday evenings and a Chamber Music Concert Series on Sunday afternoons.

The 2026-2027 Season features renowned soloists including celebrated pianist and recording artist Claire Huangci,

Violinist Stephen Cepeda and noted singers along with legendary works such as Beethoven’s Pastoral Symphony, Respighi’s Pines of Rome, Tchaikovsky’s Symphony No. 5, Mozart’s Requiem, Mussorgsky’s Pictures at an Exhibition, and works by Saint-Saëns, Leonard Bernstein, and acclaimed composer Missy Mazzoli.

Masterworks Concert Series

The 2026-2027 Season opens October 3 with Missy Mazzoli’s These Worlds In Us, Beethoven’s majestic Pastoral Symphony, and Respighi’s explosive Pines of Rome. Mazzoli who is one of the most celebrated living composers today was born in Lansdale.  The Season features renowned soloists including celebrated pianist and recording artist Claire Huangci (another Lansdale native now living in Germany and a sought-after soloist throughout the world), Violinist

Stephen Cepeda and noted vocal soloists and the symphonic chorus Voices of Gwynedd for Mozart’s Requiem by Candlelight.  The Season also includes other legendary works such as Tchaikovsky’s Symphony No. 5, Mozart’s Requiem, Mussorgsky’s Pictures at an Exhibition, and works by Saint-Saëns and Leonard Bernstein.

Chamber Music Concert Series

The Chamber Music Concert Series, a Sunday matinee series starting October 11, sells out and is a must see add on to the Masterworks Concert Series.  This Series allows audiences to experience the musicians of the Southeastern

Pennsylvania Symphony Orchestra in an intimate setting within the same performance venue of Calvary Baptist Church.  The 2026-2027 Season includes piano trios performing music of Fauré and Debussy; brass performing music of Beethoven; a wind quartet presenting music from films; and a flute quartet by American Composer Eric Ewazen and Brahms’ Clarinet Quintet.  These concerts add to the concert experience for the community.

Masterworks Concert Series

Beethoven & Pines of Rome

Saturday, 3 October 2026, 7:30 p.m.

Season 55 opens with acclaimed composer and Lansdale native Missy Mazzoli’s These Worlds In Us and Beethoven’s majestic and sublime Pastoral Symphony.  Musical landscapes continue with Respighi’s explosive Pines of Rome.   

Tchaikovsky’s Fifth

Saturday, 7 November 2026, 7:30 p.m.

Experience the gripping musical journey from darkness to light, struggle to victory, resignation to triumph in Tchaikovsky’s Fifth Symphony along with the lyrical beauty of Saint-Saëns Violin Concerto No. 3.

Mozart’s Requiem by Candlelight

Saturday, 6 February 2027, 7:30 p.m.

Immerse yourself in the ultimate reflection on life and death.  Mozart’s Requiem is shrouded in mystery, written on his deathbed, and remains one of the most monumental and haunting masterpieces in all of music.

Pianist Claire Huangci & Pictures at an Exhibition Saturday, 8 May 2027, 7:30 p.m.

World-renowned Pianist and audience favorite soloist Claire Huangci returns to perform Bernstein’s Symphony No. 2 – a fusion of classical music and jazz to find hope in a world of chaos.  The concert culminates with the epic journey of Mussorgsky’s Pictures at an Exhibition.

Limited seating is available for the Chamber Music Concert Series.  Subscribers to the Masterworks Concert Series receive priority for the Chamber Music Series. Subscribers to both the Masterworks Concert Series and the Chamber Music Concert Series to receive the best discounts. Season Tickets go on sale February 9 at spsorchestra.org
