Leah Partridge - Soprano
Celebrated for her “full, rich voice, captivating in its beauty and grace” (Opera Now) and her “clear, agile soprano” (Chicago Sun Times), Soprano Leah Partridge has garnered worldwide critical acclaim for her compelling interpretations of over forty of opera’s leading ladies.After her performances of Diana in Vicente Martin y Soler’s Mozart-like comedy L’Arbore di Diana in 2017, Twin Cities Arts said, “The unquestionable high point of the evening had to be Partridge’s first act aria,” and the Minneapolis Star Tribune declared, “Leah Partridge actually stopped the show.” This performance of Mahler’s Fourth Symphony marks Ms.Partridge’s debut with the Southeastern Pennsylvania Symphony Orchestra.She has recently performed with Maestro Scott in production of Bizet’s Carmen and Vaughan Williams’ A Sea Symphony.
With a performing career spanning over 20 years, Partridge has performed in some of the world’s most significant opera houses, including Seattle Opera, The Washington National Opera, The Metropolitan Opera, Semper Oper Dresden, Palau de les Artes Valencia, Teatro Colón Buenos Aires, Deutsche Oper Berlin, Atlanta Opera, Minnesota Opera, Detroit Opera, Florida Grand Opera, and Chicago Opera Theater, among others.
In 2025, Ms.Partridge can be seen in recital with the Macon Concert Association and at the University of Georgia.She performs with the Helena Symphony Orchestra as the soprano soloist in Ralph Vaughan Williams’ Sea Symphony.She appears with the Michael O’Neal Singers as the soprano soloist in John Rutter’s Requiem and in recital at Peachtree Hills Community Concert Series.
Highlights of Partridge’s career include performances of Violetta in La Traviata with Semper Oper Dresden, the title role in Lucia di Lammermoor with Teatro Colón in Buenos Aires, and her Metropolitan Opera debut in 2008 followed by several return engagements and live in HD broadcasts, including Peter Grimes (First Niece) and Thaïs (La Charmeuse).She has performed in concert with the Orchestras of Atlanta, Boston Baroque, Cleveland, and San Diego Symphony.She can be heard on the 2011 art song recording Finding Home with Jake Heggie and Ricky Ian Gordon.
Ms.Partridge is renowned for her nurturing approach to teaching and mentoring the next generation of emerging artists.She assists singers in identifying their unique strengths and expanding their artistic capabilities by exploring a variety of styles alongside classical repertoire.
